Wow…I am shocked at how fast this year has gone! We just celebrated Wyatt’s first birthday yesterday! We sure had a blast! He is our little dodger boy! Ryan & I were talking about this past year! God is really teaching us new things everyday. He has worked in our lives so much this past year. He has blessed us with the best gift ever…parenthood! We have had a few hurdles along the way, but nothing has broken our relationship or trust with Him…He is watching over us each day, and guides us down these uncertian paths! We are so excited to see what he has planned for us during the next year!
We love love you all so much for taking the time to share in Wyatt’s life! Much love for all your support during the last year!

Wyatt went with his girlfriend ‘Ava’ to the Santa Barbara Zoo for her 1st Birthday!! We had a blast!! Here are a few pictures of the day.
This was SOOO funny!! The Gorilla walked up to the glass & turned around & put his butt in their faces!! We were laughing so hard!!
After showing the kids his butt…he turned around & mad eye contact with Wyatt. I love this picture. Both Ava & Wyatt just stayed glued to the glass!!
So tierd after a long day at the zoo!!

For the past few days Wyatt has been standing & clapping his hands…and then…he has taken a step or two!! YEAH!! He’s almost there!! He’s so proud of himself when he’s standing there like a big boy!!!

Wyatt’s 1st Haircut!!
He did such a GREAT job. He wanted to watch everything Heidi was doing!! He was very interested in the funny noise that was going on behind his head! He loved looking at himself in the mirror!!
Our handsome little boy is growing up SO fast!!!
YEAH!!! All done…and just as cute!! Great job buddy!! We love you SO much!

Wyatt’s new favorite place…’Playsource’! This is an indoor playground. It’s filled with fun things for little guys to enjoy. Wyatt had a few play-dates this past week.

Wyatt’s 9 months old…can you believe it. He is growing so fast. We had his doctor’s appointment today and he is measuring 30 inches long (95th %) and is 23 lbs (75-85th %). He sure is a healthy boy.
He had lots of fun taking his 9 month photos. Please Enjoy!! The first two are Mommy & Daddy’s favorite’s!!!
He’s so big…standing up all by himself. He loves pulling himself up on all of the furniture. He will be walking very soon!!
He’s so CUTE…his little grin just like daddy!!

WOW!! Wyatt sure has lots of fun. Our Christmas started on Christmas eve with our church service (which daddy was one of the big stars!!) Then we were off the Mamaw & Papaw Carpenter’s House. We enjoyed our family tradition of Mamaw’s famous Chili while opening our Christmas P.J.’s!! We then had our family exchange with the Carpenter family!! All the kids enjoyed opening the gifts!! Wyatt loved his new gift from Mamaw & Papaw…(check it out)!!!

CHRISTMAS DAY…
We woke up & headed over the Memaw & Papa Hamlin’s house! Wyatt was so excited to open his gifts from Mommy & Daddy…(well I think Mom & Dad were a little more excited)!! Hey it’s his 1st Christmas. Wyatt loved the gift bags, ribbon, and tissue paper a little more than what was inside!

We opened gifts and watch a few Christmas specials on TV. Wyatt will be the best dressed kid around thanks to his Memaw & Papa…they got him some pretty cool clothes & PJ’s!

These words mean so much to me these days! God is using the Bible to teach our family a great deal. Ryan and I are in a Bible Study and we are studying the series ‘Experiencing God’…WOW!! I am enjoying it very much. Being the word every day has been such a blessing. God is challenging us on so many levels!! I encourage you to pick up your Bible and read a few scriptures right now…Be Motivated!!!

Ryan & I have challenged each other to read our Bible everyday. We realized how busy we were getting and how often our Bibles were collecting dust!! God has brought so much joy into my life after making this new commitment. Reading the Bible is something I look forward to each and everyday!! I am excited about what I will learn. I have a personal study I am currently doing, however, I thought I would share something that Ryan and I started doing back before we were married!! Reading a ‘Proverb-A-Day’.
The book of Proverbs has 31 chapters…one chapter each day of the month. If there are only 30 days in the month I read chapter 30 & 31. I wanted to share a few verses from my readings today!! ENJOY!
Proverbs 15: 29-33
29The LORD is far from the wicked
but he hears the prayer of the righteous.
30 A cheerful look brings joy to the heart,
and good news gives health to the bones.
31 He who listens to a life-giving rebuke
will be at home among the wise.
32 He who ignores discipline despises himself,
but whoever heeds correction gains understanding.
33 The fear of the LORD teaches a man wisdom,

Wyatt loves to eat…!! Introducing food to our son was no problem!! He knows when it’s time to eat. He recognizes the bottle and understands the sound of the microwave heating up his yummy veggies!! His favorite fruit is currently pears and his favorite vegetable is currently sweet potatoes…Just like his mommy.
We love to make the biggest mess possible!!!!

Wyatt is such a good little traveler!! We took him on his first little adventure to Palm Springs during the month of July. We did lots of swimming, laying around the condo, and hanging out with the family. Marriott in Palm Desert has a small little lake on the property where they have boat rides each day. Wyatt enjoyed his first boat ride with Ryan & I. Our driver had a special life jacket for him to wear. It was a little on the big side!!
We are looking forward to many more family vacations as a family!!

Ryan and I took Wyatt to Mamaw & Papaw’s pool to swim with his cousins Sarah, Tom, Eli, & Sam. Wyatt’s 1st adventure in the pool was exciting!! He is growing so much each day and is developing such a cute personality. Wyatt truly is a blessing to our lives, and we are excited to document all the fun adventures.
Our little fish (Wyatt) will be swimming on his own before we now it!! I love this picture of my dad…he was sitting by the pool enjoying the grand-kids splashing around in the pool. We look forward to many more days like these with the family!!
I would have to say that I am a very blessed young lady. God has truly blessed my life in many ways. I have a loving husband and beautiful son. Amazing parents, who love God and who have raised me to love God…what more can a girl ask for. I have a great brother who married a great girl who have 4 great kids!! And to top it off…I have cool in-laws…it’s the truth people…I have cool in-laws!!! God is good! God has truly blessed me!

- You can easily subscribe to the blog’s feed, just look in the sidebar. You’ll find an easy RSS logo (it’s an orange square). If you’re already reading and subscribed to blogs, then you’ll know what to do with that.
- You can also easily sign up to receive updates via email, just below the RSS logo. Just enter your email, and presto, you’ll get updates via email.
- The rest of the features that are now better are mostly on Megan’s end. She’ll have a much easier time keeping you guys updated with Hamlin Family stuff.
So, thanks for making the switch over with us to our new Wordpress blog.

It sure feels good to sleep in my own bed!! I am VERY happy to be home. The past 17 days were very trying in many ways. God has worked in my life more than I can express in words.
