Reading your Bible…?
Ryan & I have challenged each other to read our Bible everyday. We realized how busy we were getting and how often our Bibles were collecting dust!! God has brought so much joy into my life after making this new commitment. Reading the Bible is something I look forward to each and everyday!! I am excited about what I will learn. I have a personal study I am currently doing, however, I thought I would share something that Ryan and I started doing back before we were married!! Reading a ‘Proverb-A-Day’.
The book of Proverbs has 31 chapters…one chapter each day of the month. If there are only 30 days in the month I read chapter 30 & 31. I wanted to share a few verses from my readings today!! ENJOY!
Proverbs 15: 29-33
29The LORD is far from the wicked
but he hears the prayer of the righteous.
30 A cheerful look brings joy to the heart,
and good news gives health to the bones.
31 He who listens to a life-giving rebuke
will be at home among the wise.
32 He who ignores discipline despises himself,
but whoever heeds correction gains understanding.
33 The fear of the LORD teaches a man wisdom,
and humility comes before honor.
